I haven't purchased GB yet, but I do plan to in the near future. I second the motion: concentrate on the firewall, leave DNS, DHCP, syslog, NTP, WKRP, off. If I need one of these services, I'll configure a Linux or BSD box to run them. If it becomes too modular, I'm sure it'd soon develop as many holes as a Microsoft product.

I too question the need. I didn't buy Gnat Box so I could have a DNS server, a DHCP server, a whatever server. There are plenty of products out there to fill these needs. I'd prefer GTA spend it's energies on building a damn good firewall and leave it at that. That's what I need, that's what I want, everything else is baggage.
