FWIW, don't assume it could just be the NICs. My GB-Pro went down on Sat. nite. On Monday I spent 4 hours troubleshooting cards, IRQ settings in BIOS, etc. Finally I couldn't even access the BIOS. Flaky keyboard controller on Mainboard was the culprit. Yanked all the cards, put them in a different case, and voila! Back in business.
Moral: It would be a good idea to have a backup system ready to go, where you just copy a recent config file over via GBAdmin.
