Hi everyone

It's maybe a beginners question, but I dare to ask it anyway...

I need to give access to a ftp server for one of our clients. I have given
access to port 21 through Gnatbox, but have noticed that the client machine
also tries to reach port 20. Is this port also necessary for the ftp server,
or can I simply ignore this? We also get terrible slow transfer rates, this
won't have anything to do with Gnatbox, will it?

Also, ftp servers seem to have a very bad record of serious security
problems. If I don't grant any anonymous access, would this help to make it
safer and what is the worst that could happen?

So many questions... But thanks a lot for the help

Marc
