What version of the client software are you using? Last night I upgraded the client software from (i think) 5.13b4 to 5.4.0, and now Im getting the 3-4 second timeouts. I didnt try a terminal server connection, but the timeouts were bad enough that I had SSH sessions drop. I didnt have time to reinstall the old version and see if it went away. Updates...
