The saga continues! At this point, I'm ready to move on to another product
which would be more stable! Granted, version 3.1 worked well for us for
over a year but since moving to 3.3.1, we've had nothing but trouble!

After spending hours working with GTA support but never being able to
resolve the inability to connect to our production GNAT box Pro remotely
either via web or GBAdmin, I setup a new system on a test network and booted
up with the same floppy as our production system. I was also unable to
connect to this box remotely so that eliminated the hardware as a problem
and told me that the problem was indeed software related. At this point, I
decided to setup a new system completely from scratch and then manually add
all my filters, tunnels, etc.

After setting up the new system, I tried to access remotely and Voila! Both
the web and GBAdmin worked fine! I setup a time to swap the boxes and
everything appeared to be going smooth until I tried to access the Internet.
Web pages were not responding but pings to IP addresses were? Sounds like a
name resolution problem but everything is setup the same as the previous
box!?!? So I connect via GBAdmin and attempt to send my config to GTA
support but it times out. I try again and this time it works? I then try
to make some changes and when I attempt to save it also times out, but then
it works sporadically. I called GTA support and was on the phone for 45
minutes while they went over my config. After trying this, that and the
other thing, GBAdmin started timing out even though pings to the PRO
interface were less than 10ms. GTA suggested I use the web admin since it
is more reliable. The web admin did work but GTA could not figure out why
my name resolution quit working? We played with the GB DNS entries both
internal and external to no avail.

They finally suggested that the problem was my DNS and that I should
troubleshoot it to determine the cause. I chased that for a good 30 minutes
before deciding to put the old box back in to see if the problem was really
my DNS or the old faithful GnatBox Pro software. What do you think
happened? Yep, after I put in the old box, all network connectivity worked
fine! Name resolution was happy as a lark, but now I cannot access my GB
box remotely!?!?! I again sent the config to GTA telling them that this was
complete insanity and that I have completely separate problems with 2
completely separate systems which no one at GTA can explain. I have not
heard back from them.

So, can someone please recommend a similar product that actually works?
Thanks in advance. Dave

And just to make sure you are using https://x.x.x.x right? I know I've shot
myself in the foot a couple of times since they changed from 80 to 443 for
web admin.
