Can you go into bios and set the power features to "Power Off" for the last
state?  I know most servers and PCs offer that feature or something similar.
Don't know about the GB-100/1000 though.  Mine is a GB-Flash and I have it
set that way.

I don't think it's possible (in software, anyway) to
keep the GB1000 from booting.

Any chance that you could set up (even temporarily) a
secondary mailserver that doesn't depend on the same
power feed as the primary mailserver?
