VPN client:  8.0.2 latest build
I wish I could pin down a suspect in this case.  However, all the hardware and
software involved is pointing the finger at someone else.  Hard to know how to
proceed.

You dont mention versions of the Gnatbox and the client software, but
older versions had a problem with the VPN dying after one of the protocol
timeouts. IIRC it took updates to both sides to work properly.
