Simon,

The VPN client will not work or install correctly on most systems using
proxy software or systems acting as a gateway for other hosts.  It is
intended to the for a single PC.  And not a gateway to gateway solution.

You could try it but it would probably not work.  As other software
similiar to AnalogX will not work with the VPN client.

If the Proxy software will pass protocol 50 and UDP 500 the VPN client may
work from the XP LAP top.  Although you are adding in some vairables to
work with (Wireles and Proxy server).

Another alternative if you do not want to purcyhase and place a firewall
at the customer site is to use GNAT Box Light as your NAT device.  The VPN
client does work outbound through all GTA firewalls.  In addition, it is
free and all you need to do is boot the 98 PC with the Floppy ( I assume
the 98 PC has 2 NIC's).  If you want the 98 OC back remove the floppy.
