My email client (Outlook) is configured for SMTP and Pop3 from
mail.etbu.edu. The internal clients use an internal DNS server that resolves
the actual ip address of mail.etbu.edu to (10.100.1.10) not the alias
(63.71.26.5).

Does this mean I have to do something different?

David,

I put that in the static filter like you said but then I never received the
email when I sent it from my etbu.edu account to my cablelynx.com account.

Lets say my internal ip address on my PSN for my mail server is 10.100.1.10
I have an alias created on my external interface called MAIL and it is using
ip 63.71.26.5

When I put <USE IP ADDRESS> 10.100.1.10 MAIL and save it, the mail is never
delivered.

Any suggestions?

You should configure a Static Address Mapping (under NAT) for this.

For example, if your internal mailserver is 10.100.1.10, and 63.71.26.5 is
on the MAIL alias:

<USE IP ADDRESS> 10.100.1.10 MAIL

These mappings control /outbound/ NAT. By default all outbound traffic is
NATed to the EXTERNAL gateway interface. Static Mappings change this.
