My email client (Outlook) is configured for SMTP and Pop3 from mail.etbu.edu. The internal clients use an internal DNS server that resolves the actual ip address of mail.etbu.edu to (10.100.1.10) not the alias (63.71.26.5).
Does this mean I have to do something different? You should configure a Static Address Mapping (under NAT) for this. For example, if your internal mailserver is 10.100.1.10, and 63.71.26.5 is on the MAIL alias: <USE IP ADDRESS> 10.100.1.10 MAIL These mappings control /outbound/ NAT. By default all outbound traffic is NATed to the EXTERNAL gateway interface.
