What I mean, is a stack PROT_GROWSDOWN RLIM_INFINITY RLIMIT_STACK mapping is

defined to be a mapping from the top of that mapping down to the first mapping

of something else below it.  Whether it is the shadow memory or something else

doesn't matter.  There is just no overlap in that case, so the error looks

wrong to me.
