--- Comment #16 from Frank Ch. Eigler <fche at redhat dot com> --- Apparently all five apparent regression test cases were associated with the gcc.target/i386/i386.exp test file. So get a gcc build that can deal with i386 and then run make check RUNTESTFLAGS=i386.exp in code with and without your patch.
