I have problems with local autotester machines (though F 8),
which might be a sign of the switch or ethernet card or driver
hanging.  The hanging occurs after a job has started; some NFS
traffic occurring.  They're pinged once an hour which seems to
lower the frequency, but it still happens every two months or
so.  Among other signs in /var/log/messages is "NETDEV WATCHDOG:
eth0: transmit timed out".

It'd be interesting to hear if you see that here.
