I just did a diff to find the corrections you made to the COBOL code. I've been aware of some of those for a long time, and it is pleasantly satisfying to see them gone.
Others I wasn't aware of -- like, who knows the proper spelling of "diaeresis"? -- and even in the line-over-line diff I had to stare at some for a few seconds to see the difference.
