People following the yearly, quarterly and monthly open office reports have noticed that the Sourceware Project Leadership Committee has secured more hardware and hosting services through a combination of grants, donations and hardware/service sponsorship.
The latest addition is a bigger server, 24x64GB memory, 6x3.8TB disk and 2x28 cores hosted in the new Red Hat RDU3 Community Cage, that we want to use as server1.sourceware.org (the current server2 and server3 will then be used as backup redundant servers). Later today there is an Sourceware Open Office meeting where we can discuss how to migrate services into their own isolated VMs on server1. And which resources need to be untangled for that. https://sourceware.org/sourceware-wiki/Migration2025/ Friday Aug 8, 16:00 UTC At #overseers on irc.libera.chat To get the right time in your local timezone: $ date -d "Fri Aug 8 16:00 UTC 2025" Sourceware relies on cooperation among a broad diversity of core toolchain and developer tool projects, hackers, organizations, ideas, and communication styles.
