Hello people!
The GNU Tools Cauldron 2026 conference [1] is approaching fast and the
organizing committee is busy-busy nailing all the details for a fun
and productive event.
This year we will be back in the awesome city of Prague, Czech Republic, from
October 2nd to October 4th 2026. We’re starting the afternoon of the 2nd and
going all the way through Sunday evening
The Call for Proposals is now open, closing Monday 31th of August, and
so is the registration for attendance. If you are considering
attending now is the time to register.
If you need an invitation letter, an attendance grant and/or a travel
grant, please let the organizers know by writing to [2].
IMPORTANT: We are looking for sponsors for this year's edition.
Please reach out! [3]
As a novelty, this year incredibly the planets aligned in time and
space: the Linux Plumbers Conference happens to be also in Prague,
starting right after Cauldron, from Monday 5th to Wednesday 7th of
October. As is now traditional, we will be having a Toolchains Track
at LPC. The purpose of this track is to work on particular problems
or issues involving development tools (compilers, assemblers,
debuggers, debugging formats, manipulation of binaries, etc) and the
Linux kernel, making the best use of live discussions with kernel
developers and maintainers. This covers both the GNU toolchain and
clang/LLVM. This track is not about presenting research or abstracts,
nor miscellaneous toolchain work. We welcome activities, of variable
length depending on the topic being discussed, devoted to actual
discussion, brainstorming and seeking agreement. Few if any slides
shall be necessary. The Call for Proposals for the LPC Toolchains
track is now open, closing Friday 24th July. Speakers will be
notified from Friday July 31th. You can submit your proposal at [4].
See you in Prague!
