It built OK on a selection of newest and older OS versions, results
posted to testresults and bunsen.

However, I goofed and missed one back-port which means that
almost every link line emits a warning on macOS26 (latest).

This does not prevent the compiler working but it makes the test-
suite results very sad.

If possible, I’d like to apply this (which is darwin-local and I believe
non-risky) before the release is spun:
