To Add to Ramana's list, there are some easy issues for beginners from the gnu toolchain weekly newsletter which can be used as a starting point at what to help out on. This is list is located at https://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/EasyIssuesOfTheWeek. This list also contains the ones which have been fixed already and the link to the commit for each fixed cases to see how some of these have been implemented before. The other thing the weekly newsletter is sent out weekly (except for this week due to the conference) to this email list. You can find the previous ones at The second year of the newsletter: https://inbox.sourceware.org/gcc/CAHt=nyo2euhka2ros5yckm92hke2cuxvq6xejz2gvtd6mkp...@mail.gmail.com/T/ The first years worth of the newsletter: https://inbox.sourceware.org/gcc/CAHt=NyPpC47e6400=zxqwj5w5b2abmhuzk+swsrkstdxvu4...@mail.gmail.com/T/ GCC is still experimenting with a forge which is like github and that can be found at: https://forge.sourceware.org/gcc You can find the documentation on how to use it at https://gcc.gnu.org/wiki/UsingForge .
