I think your opinion probably carries a bit more weight with RMS than mine. :-) I don't want to prolong a pointless discussion either, but I hope somebody has made the "forest through the trees" argument. Proprietary extensions using a standard plug-in interface will eventually get replaced by free ones if they're of value. In the long term, this type of direct assault on GPL would backfire in a big way. -Jerry
