I believe that these days they should be removed, rather than updated.
Provding them was more important before they became more popular (and
GNU programs in two cases actually).

Note that the versions there strictly match the minimal versions listed
at  http://gcc.gnu.org/install/prerequisites.html  and sadly some newer
versions cause issues, for example on SPARC.
