Well, I would not have seen that coming. I should look more closely at the various README's and changelogs. To be honest, I scrapped my Solaris Sparc resultant compiler here : http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-testresults/2011-11/msg00683.html ... and am starting over. With no go, and no pun inteneded.
