Perhaps you mean: can anybody tell you how to generate 64-bit code for the x86 using gcc 3.3. In GCC this is called x86_64, so the answer is to configure your compiler for the x86_64 target. See the installation documentation. Note that gcc 3.3 is very very old. The current version is 4.7.0. Ian
