The RiscPKG packaging should all be working. Unfortunately I always seem
to have difficulty due to my systems on creating the packages to test.
I have successfully been using packages created by the GCCSDK4 on
my Iyonix and RPCEmu by dragging them to the !RiscPkg icon on the
iconbar. The next step for me would be for them to be downloadable
by !RiscPkg (see below).
As far as I know the only thing outstanding is if we are going to
change from the UnixLib package to a SharedUnixLibrary package. However
this should not stop the current packages produced working and it
wouldn't stop us making the change for the next release.
I also noticed that the SharedLibs seem to need the Castle SharedCLibrary
which we can not package and so we would have to advice RISC OS 4
users they will need to install that manually.
If you add the packages to the autobuilder website and rebuild the
index there, people will be able to try them directly through
!RiscPkg. I'd suggest you create a new folder GCCSDK4 and add
everything there.
As the packages install the SharedLib stuff, it would be a good
way of getting it on machines so it can be tested.
Regards,
Alan
