I did what you described but debuild failed with dpkg-checkbuilddeps : dépendances de construction non trouvées : xulrunner-dev It seems xulrunner isn't shipped with ubuntu anymore and I couldn't find an easy way to install it, short of building from source. I'll check with the ubuntu maintainer.
