Folks, I have written up the minutes from Friday's release meeting.
http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/wiki/ThirdMeeting Key items: * Frank Warmerdam named release manager. * Last friday declared RFC freeze day ... that is, it is too late for new RFCs to go into the 1.6.0 release. Release Schedule: * October 29th: Beta 1 (this Wednesday!) * November 12th: Beta 2 * November 26th: RC 1 * Additional RCs as needed (hopefully only a few days apart) till final release approved Please try to get new development items completed by Wednesday and into trunk for inclusion in beta1. There will be two weeks for agreessive bug fixing during the beta1 period. The beta2 period should hopefully be for more conservative bug fixing (avoiding riskier fixes for marginal problems).
