Robin is involved in the use of GDAL at ESRI and would like to be
able to
directly fix things in GDAL trunk as well as maintaining ESRI
branches like
the /sandbox/warmerdam/1.6-esri branch. He has over a decade of
experience
in imaging including use of libraries like libtiff, etc. He has
been using
GDAL since 1.2.x, including the GDAL integration in the ImageServer
product
and has been actively porting bug fixes and other activities within
the ESRI
copy of GDAL.
Robin has agreed to the guidelines in RFC3.
Peng Gao and I will keep an eye on his activities within GDAL
initially.
