trivial fix (in the case of the CXXFLAGS just change all of them to
CPPFLAGS, and one make file where you add CPPFLAGS) that's why I

I always use CFLAGS, CXXFLAGS and LDFLAGS for OSX arch flags. Works
just fine.

They didn't seem like show stoppers to me. I'm not even sure I know
what the solution will be though I was hoping someone might look
into them
