For me it would be great if my proposed enhancement in ticket 3129
<http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/3129> would be implemented.
It would make a big difference in our daily work, if a standardized
direction on contours were present.
We would be happy to do tests on any changes made, as my patch beares
evidence that I do not do much C++ programming these days.
