IMHO, it's not a reason.
In such case, I'd ask QGIS folks to release an updated binaries.
That way, only one person (package maintainers) has to do the work,
and all the users benefit. Otherwise, it's waste of energy and time
(It also includes time on explaining inexperienced end-user how to
build a software
from cutting-edge development version.)
