Even, Thanks again. That was the problem. I uninstalled Python and installed the 32-bit version. Next I uninstalled GDAL-1.9.1.win32-py2.7 and installed it again. Now my Python installation is found.
My ecw file is now being tiled. If you are ever in The Netherlands I'll by you a beer!
