Hi, It seems that several users wonder why they can't open compressed ESRI geodatabases with GDAL or QGIS. It could be mentioned in http://www.gdal.org/drv_filegdb.html and in http://www.gdal.org/drv_openfilegdb.html. Now it is documented only in http://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/ticket/5659
