On a quick look, one thing that struck me is that there will no longer be any direct equivalent of TOWGS84. AFAIU, the BOUNDCRS concept which can embrace the concept of TOWGS84 through a Coordinate Frame method is to be used when the transform to the TARGETCRS has already been done and document what was the SOURCRS and the transformation applied. There's also the COORDINATEOPERATION which can contain more or less same information but this doesn't describe a CRS itself. We'll see how it will be adopted. Was considered for GeoPackage at a time AFAIR, but they switch backed to old WKT spec, the new one not being ready. > > -Jukka Rahkonen- > > _______________________________________________ > gdal-dev mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/gdal-dev > -- Spatialys - Geospatial professional services http://www.spatialys.com _______________________________________________ gdal-dev mailing list [email protected] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/gdal-dev
