Hi all, first time poster here. I hope my question hasn't already been discussed or answered elsewhere. I'd like to access some COGs using vsicurl. The code base I'm working with attempts to validate image locations as legitimate URLs, more specifically http:// or file:// locations. The presence of the double slash (/vsicurl/https:*//*www....) causes quite a few issues.
Has there been any thought or discussion around adding some sort of support for a URL protocol/scheme that would allow these paths to be defined as a more common resource location? Eg, something like, `vsixxx:// www.x.com/my.tif`? Josh Fix Planet Federal
