This is intended. All GDAL feature versions change at least some parts
of the C++ ABI

I noticed a shlib major version bump, which wasn't mentioned in NEWS.
So I wonder if there is truly and ABI break and that should be noted, or
if it shouldn't have been bumped, or something else.
