Hello Sayena, Gdal doesn’t have a graphic interface, it’s all command line utilities and programmer libraries. However Qgis (https://qgis.org/) is very well integrated with Gdal and is similar to ArcMap in a lot of ways and the members of the Qgis Community<https://qgis.org/en/site/forusers/support.html> are generally helpful if the docs don’t cover your situation.
Also within ArcMap you may have access to the Data Interoperability extension<https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/extensions/data-interoperability/what-is-the-data-interoperability-extension-.htm>. -Matt From: gdal-dev <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Sayena Sent: July 9, 2021 7:32 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [gdal-dev] Install GDAL on Arcmap 10.7 *** External email: Do not click on links or attachments except from trusted senders. *** ****************************************************************************************** Hello I want to use Census data 2000 Urbanized area - They are in the ASCII format and apparently need a translator to convert them to lines/ polylines. I searched in the internet and found out about the GDAL that can do the job. But just don't know how to use the graphic user interface with Arcmap 10.7 I do really appreciate your help -- Sayena Farid Marandi
