Running gdalinfo or gdal_translate using the Docker image osgeo/gdal:ubuntu-full-latest on these netCDF4 files seems to fail with ERROR 4: '<file>' not recognized as a supported file format. I have not managed to find much by Googling. I'm happy to continue investigating if anyone is happy to provide any pointers to where I should be looking.
