New issue 836 by sanitz: Can not install Gears on Firefox 3.0.6 an Windows

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Firefox 3.0.6
2. Run GearsSetup.exe and click "Restart your Browser"
3. See the text "Install Gears" in the blue button on the website
gears.google.com
4. Send an error report and give feedback via google groups:

5. Gears is installed on InternetExplorer and Google Chrome... but not
Firefox.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Something like "Yeah, Google Gears is installed!"
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Firefox 3.0.6 on Windows Vista (32 bit)
Please provide any additional information below.
I want to use try out Gears for offline-features in a webapplication... I
can not force the users of the application to switch to Chrome or Internet
Explorer...
