New issue 842 by lyklevoort: In google docs, the offline message is too big and cannot be removed
http://code.google.com/p/gears/issues/detail?id=842 What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. on a pc with a small screen (asus eee), go offline 2. open a document What is the expected output? What do you see instead? * A yellow message appears, informing me that I am offline and that I need to synchronize my documents when I go online. That is fine, but together with the google and documents page headers, the actual document is just a strip on the bottom of the screen. There is no way to close or hide this yellow bar. * When I click "offline help", the help fills up the entire screen. All I can do is save my document. The actual document is below the screen. I can see my online / offline status from the gears icon in google docs, so I don't need to see a message every time I go offline. A one-time message would be fine, or a way to hide it. What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 0.5.4.2 on an eee-pc with a 7" screen, running linux.
