Installed Gears yesterday and had two Wordpress blogs updated to use it. This morning I installed the Chrome browser and tried to update the Gears for the same blogs but it stopped about half way.
I tried to access the two sites and get a DNS lookup failure on both. Using a web proxy I can see the sites but cannot access them at all. I have uninstalled the browser and Gears but still have the same problem. How do I get rid of whatever Gears did to my system?
