Hey Jeff -- I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. Just to clarify: you can sync GAFYD and Google Reader on Firefox & Safari, but you are getting the "you are not connected to the internet" error when trying to view them? It happens both in Safari and Firefox, or just Safari? Are you setting your browser in offline mode or is this happening while you're online and tring to view? Do other Gears enabled apps, such as rememberthemilk.com work for you?
