Hey Ben-
No to all. One account, etc.
I've emptied the cache, reinstalled Gears and even reset all of
Safari. Still nothing, yet.

You aren't doing one of the following, are you?
1) switching browsers or profiles or computers
2) switching between accounts
3) switching from http to https or vice versa
If none of those, have you tried deleting your cached files and
retrying?

Hey Ben-
Both the ResourceStore and ManagedResourceStore demos work perfectly
fine.

Did the samples work fine for you? Specifically the ResourceStore/
ManagedResourceStore ones?

Hey Ben-
When I'm online everything works just fine. It's when I lose a
connection (airplane) and I want to read my feeds or see my Google
Docs when I get the offline thing.
Online, things sync fine and I can read it like normal.
And in case it matters: the Reader issue is a regular google
account with Gmail. I'm having the exact same issues with my GAFYD
docs.

No, you shouldn't have to set the browser to "offline mode". I
asked because if this error you are seeing is happening while you
have an internet connection, then something is definitely wrong.
Syncing your account should not block you from using the apps
while online.
It would help if you could try some other Gears demos/applications
and let me know if they work. I'd like to narrow the problem down
to either your installation of Gears, or some sort of a glitch
with GAFYD/Reader -- that way we can investigate it further.
Here are some demos to try:

Hey Ben-
Exactly right. I haven't tried with RTM since I don't use it.
I haven't tried setting the browser to "offline mode", but because
I didn't know there was one! Are you supposed to do that every time?
I'll give that a try and report back.

Hey Jeff --
I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. Just to clarify: you
can sync GAFYD and Google Reader on Firefox & Safari, but you are
getting the "you are not connected to the internet" error when
trying to view them? It happens both in Safari and Firefox, or
just Safari? Are you setting your browser in offline mode or is
this happening while you're online and tring to view? Do other
Gears enabled apps, such as rememberthemilk.com work for you?
Thanks,
Ben

I'm not sure if it worked before. I sync'd all the data hoping
for it to work today- the first time I've tried it offline.
It sync'd without throwing any errors in both docs and 2000
reader items.

Hi Jeff, what do you mean by GAFYD docs? Has Google Reader +
Safari worked for you in the past?

I have Gears installed on Safari and synced my GAFYD docs and
regular
gmail account reader this morning with no issues.
When I try to load either in Safari, I'm getting the "you are not
connected to the Internet" error as if gears was never installed.
OS X 10.5.5
Safari 3.1.2
Gears 0.4.22.0
Same in Firefox:
FF 3.0.1
Gears 0.4.20.0
Any ideas?
