I am not sure about the following Scenario with gears: 1. say I have a image img.gif or pdf file file.pdf. 2. I add it to my manifest for gears to include the image and pdf file to my offline content 3. I update my website - img.gif and file.pdf still exist on the site with the same name but the content of my pdf file and image have changed. 4. I update the version in my manifest file (I odn't update the URL's list of the manifest since the URL to my image and PDF file have not changed).
Will gears be smart enough to update my offline content with the updated image / pdf file, even though the file name hasn't changed and only the content of these static files changed? If so, how does gears recognize changes in these static files? Thanks, Yossi.
