Hello Gears Users, We started looking at Google Gears recently and found that we may be able to use it in our current application. But we also noticed that when you install the Gears components, you have to be connected to the internet. Since our application runs in a closed environment (no access to the internet), we need to be able to install the Gears components without internet access.
Also worth noting is that the only browser used in this environment is Internet Explorer. Is there a standalone installer somewhere that can be distributed? or a work around? Any input or direction would be great. Right now this is a show stopper for us, but if there is a work around or even better a standalone installer out there that would be most awesome! Cheers! Lem
