If you build and install trunk Gears from source, then Blobs should
have a getBytes() method that lets you read the bytes, and
factory.create('beta.blobbuilder') will let you create Blobs from byte
values (as ints) or strings. A Gears BlobBuilder is to a Gears Blob as
a Java StringBuilder is to a Java String. Both Gears Blobs and Java
Strings are read-only.
