This is the wrong attitude to take. One of the biggest reasons for having a release candidate push of software is to provide extension developers a chance to test out their products in advance against a stable product and fixed API so that the users can have things "just work" at release. If you at Google really want to make Gears an essential part of the web, even small setbacks like this is going to cause people to sour at your product, especially as you are also pushing a competitive browser of your own now. I hope you don't make this same mistake with 3.6 and onward. The web is forgiving once or twice for a really good product -- which I believe Gears truly is -- but can also turn very harsh very quickly.
