I'm no help - but I'm having problems installing Gears as well I just bought my macbook pro a few days ago, and so everything has the minimum requirements I downloaded Gears, went through the installation and it says that it is successfully installed, and I can uninstall it - but then when I go to the gears google page, it looks as if its not installed... I'm having big problems uploading to youtube, and it would be great to be able to pause my uploads... to use their bulk uploader on youtube they say that I need Gears - but when I install it, its not recognised..
