I've been using Google Gears with Firefox 3.x on MacOSX 10.5 for the last 6 months, and it works great. I can access Gmail and Google Calendar offline. Google Docs no longer supports Google Gears, and there is no replacement yet (See http://docs.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=176376 ).
