I have not had personal experience with this in lizards but I have seen
it in mammals. There are nerves that run through the pelvis and an overly
large egg could bruise these. Hopefully it will heal in time. In cattle I
have seen them heal and I have seen them limp for the rest of their
lives. (Quite short in cows)
