Curious question here... we have been talking about
mealworms and problems related to them and I have
found it very informative and instructing. But I have
a question... would this whole discussion also cover
the "superworms" aka zophobas morio? Not that I am
concerned about them eating their way out... I know
that such a thing could happen, but feel that in
nature if it happens, there is no one there to "crush"
their food... so only the strong survive might fit the
situation here. Not to start a debate or anything,
just my humble opinion, please! But supers are
considerably bigger than mealworms, too. Also, I have
heard that geckos "prefer" zophobas over mealworms,
but mine refuse to eat them! They don't like the
regular mealies only the giants, which I don't
particularly like feeding because it is my
understanding that they have been injected with
supplements to make them larger than normal (please
correct me if I am wrong here! - Thanks) The previous
owner fed them free roaming crickets and supers for
the past 2 years... I don't believe in this, but they
won't eat the crickets out of the feeding dish, only
the meal worms... and only the giant mealworms, not
the supers or regular.... any advice, opinions, etc.?
Thanks in advance!
