Julie,
     When we were at the All-Maryland Reptile Show last weekend, Billie 
Zulich recommended the red heat bulb over the ceramic bulb because with the 
red heat bulb you can see the activity in the tank at night.

      Scott, my son, had a question -- he has been using the red heat bulb at 
all hours now and he is concerned that the leopard geckos are now confused 
about the actual time of the day.   With nocturnal animals, is that possible?

      Scott's bedroom also does not have much sunlight coming into the room 
-- he has started leaving his blinds open during the day in order for some 
light to come in.    Since he is not using the UV lights any longer, will 
using the red bulb all the time hurt the animals?
