If it's small enough to be swallowed and big enough to get stuck, don't use it.
If there's enough gap between the pebbles for insects to hide in, don't use it
either. You can also bet poop will get lost between the pebbles and ferment
until you locate it by smell.
I guess I'd say no to gravel, but then that's just me.
